Welcome, Cyrus! Hmm... details on past events? I'll see what I can write up...
Past EventsLGT1: The first Liar Game Tournament, run by Nearco, Forli, Leronira, and Kurifuji.
LGT Carousel: The interim between the first and second Liar Game Tournaments. Run by Nearco, Leronira, Barbaro, Sagaro, and Navarre.
LGT2: The second Liar Game Tournament, run by Barbaro, Sagaro, Navarre, Petrushka, Jacola, and Aldaniti. Main dealers: Barbaro and Sagaro.
LGT Casino: This forum, currently ongoing. The interim between the second and third Liar Game Tournaments. Run by Alydar, Nearco, Forli, Barbaro, and Sagaro. Main dealer: Alydar.
LGT3: The expected tournament in the (near?) future. Run by Nearco and/or Forli plus others. It's mostly finished, but the dealers have to wait for life to slow down, so they can find the time to deal.
Casino GamesOn A Roll: This ran once before during LGT2 as the
Exhibition Game with ShadowFire and Morte as the winners. Forli later ran a version of this game during the Casino where Iain7 won by a larger margin. Because of the small number of players, this may be reopened for players who have already played, so the minimum number of players can be met.
Slot Machine: Ongoing but the inactivity penalty has been removed due to lack of interest and, well, activity. A mix of hide-and-seek for hints as well as a Guess-the-Condition game, this has proven to be a much harder challenge than expected for players and no one has won or figured out the conditions to date.
Dice Table: Originally the only 2-player game, this is a one-on-one battle of wits where you try and defeat your opponent's hands of dice for money. Once you have played and won, you may not replay. However, you can lose as many times as you want!
There have been four games to date: Morte defeating ShadowFire, 10k defeating Iain7, Mister Blonde defeating Kokuryu, and Iain7 defeating Esterdi.
Directionally Challenged: An arcade game where players battle for space on a board, this game has not yet been run due to a lack of players. We currently have 3 players signed up out of a minimum of 4, so we need a single player (potentially you) in order to play.
Pinball Wizard: This game likely will not be played in the near future due to its requirement of 6 players. In this, you work with players on your own and the opposing team to get the most points and lead your comrades to victory, using your medals to gain cooperation.
Card Auction: This game was first
playtested by the players, with Nakamura Kaori's overwhelming victory. In the actual game, the overwhelming victory went instead to 10k, with Nakamura making do with second place. Nearco began dealing this game, and Alydar picked it up partway through.
Infiltration Game: A bonus game spawned from the lack of players and a much, much earlier request for a one-on-one battle from before the Casino. In this (long) board game, players try to capture the opponent's Jewel in order to win. Only one game has been run so far, with Nakamura Kaori's victory over Morte. Currently, 10k is waiting for an opponent.
MinigamesTax Evasion Game: With the Casino games not yet started, 10k set up a minigame, run by Nearco. This went first through a Rehearsal Round and then through the actual game. It ended with 10k's win, though by how much is unknown.
The Silver Plaything: This game was created by Kokuryu and dealt by Barbaro. The basic premise of the game is that players have to work together to make a silver ball hit the walls by choosing left, right, up, or down. However, you don't want to be the one to move it far enough to hit the wall, as then you pay money to the players who chose the opposite direction. This game ended with Komatsu Tatsuya's solo win, despite the potential for two winners at the outset.
A Liar's Memory: Created and run by Alydar, this game had a signup fee and greater potential payout! Players sent in numbers that were ordered and determined the placement of a game of Memory, where players had to try and match their opponents' cards while keeping their own safe. After a short
Rehearsal Round, the
game began in full swing, resulting in Iain7's eventual win, though Kokuryu's second-place score was impressive as well!
Double Bluff: A card game proposed by Kokuryu and run by Liar Game (the admin account), this game had players make claims about their hands of cards, followed by players agreeing or disagreeing with them, utilizing polls in their confessionals. Players then had to give cards to the players that they were wrong about, and in doing so players' hands would increase and diminish, until some people had no cards left. The game had a short Rehearsal Round, and then it took off in a
separate thread. After a long game, it ended with Iain7's overwhelming victory.
Race-Fixing Game: This game tried to get off the ground but was eventually dropped by 10k as he went off to revise rules. Where those rules went... we have yet to find out.
Elusive Shareholders: This game was made by Esterdi and would have been run by Alydar if there had been enough players signed up. Sadly, only one person did, out of the minimum 6 needed.
The Silver Plaything II: Because of the interest the first time around, Komatsu Tatsuya proposed running this game again, and Alydar picked it up. We do technically have the 5 players we need, but Komatsu Tatsuya disappeared, and MarkQuestion may have as well.
Musical Chairs: Off of the manga version of Musical Chairs, Nearco proposed running a version here to test something out. Sadly, there was little interest, and then Nearco became busy. The game seems to have died.
Shuffle Cups: With a lack of players, the minimum number of players seemed to get harder and harder to reach. Thus, this game was proposed with a minimum of 2 players and no maximum. Sadly, it seems to have disappeared from everyone's minds, and there has been little interest in signing up. We do technically have 2 players, but I'd prefer more if we can.
Admittedly, with the minigames, seeing as I'm the only dealer around right now, it's a lot of work dealing everything, so I've put many of them out of my mind for now so we can focus on the actual games. If anyone wants to have some of the minigames run, please bring it up, and I will see what I can do.
To the best of my knowledge, that's everything. A lot's happened or has been attempted, but the current lack of players is hurting us badly. So we're trying to recruit more players and run whatever games we can to keep the remaining players occupied and happy!
