A Liar's Memory"Now that you've had the fun of a rehearsal, why don't you try the real deal on for size? The thrill of a gamble! Never knowing if you'll win or lose from it until it's all over! Aha! Who will be first to lose? Who will be last? The votes, the numbers, the orders, the strategy! The excitement is palpable! Ahahaha! So, without further ado, the game begins!" Alydar presses a button on his remote, and the screen above changes to the scoreboard, complete with a 6x6 board. He pulls out gold-plated cards and orders them, finally laying them out on the table in the same order as the display board above. He hands each of the players a set of silver-plated cards with each player's name engraved on one side. On the other side, a check box appears next to the names of each player in the game. "Don't worry, we will not be revealing who voted for who. These are simply precautionary measures against multiple votes. Ahaha! Your little alliances will stay as hidden as you wish them to be. So, after you have decided on who you would like to flip a card this round, please place your vote in the ballot box." As he looks over the materials for the round, he appears to remember something. "Oh! Mr. Darconis over there has declined to give numbers. As a result, I believe you all know his numbers! Oh, and he takes a 3 point penalty... If he does not clear that debt by the end of the game, he will be fined one Poker Chip per negative point. Take care! Ahahaha!" You have each been PMed with the appropriate number of card placements. Most of you know where two of your own cards have been placed. The other cards remain a mystery. The layout of the cards are as follows: [Kokuryu]

You have 48 hours to place your decisions. You must send in both a vote for the flipper (any player participating in the game aside from yourself) and a pair of cards which you would like to flip in the event that you win the flipper position. As a recap, non-matching pairs will be flipped upside-down once the next two cards are flipped up. Matching pairs will remain name-side-up for the remainder of the game. A matched pair gains the flipper 1 point, and eliminating a player by matching their last pair gains the flipper 3 extra points (for a total of 4). Players do receive the points for flipping over their own pairs, just like for flipping over opponents' pairs. When a player has no unmatched cards left on the field, that player is out of the game and no longer participates in the voting rounds. With that out of the way, you have 48 hours. Your votes and numbers must be in to Alydar by 11:21 pm GMT on Wednesday, April 18th. If a player does not send them in by then, that player cannot win the vote for the round. Players:1. Iain7 - 10 turns, 16 points 2. Kokuryu - 10 turns, 12 points 3. NastyMan - 6 turns, 5 points 4. ShadowFire - 3 turns, 2 points 5. 10k - 2 turns, 1 point 6. Darconis - WITHDRAWN, -3 points *Each point is equivalent to a Poker Chip. At the end of the game, each person receives one Poker Chip per point earned.* (This thread is locked and will only contain pertinent game information. Please talk about anything game-related by PM, confessionals, or in the original Memory thread.)

You have 24 hours left to make your decisions. If you do not have a vote in, or if you have not sent in your cards to flip over, you cannot win the flipper position and thus will not have the ability to win any points this round, no matter how many votes you receive. Please do your best to make sure your decisions are in by the deadline!

You have around 12 and a half hours to make your decisions. If they are not in by the deadline, you cannot win the flipper position and thus cannot win any points this round. Also, there's a slight possibility that I'll be late with putting up the decisions (I have a meeting, but it probably won't run into it...). In that case, the deadline is still 11:21 pm GMT. Any PMs timestamped after that will not count for the first round.

Voting Phase 1
A buzzer sounds from above, and Alydar promptly takes the ballot box into a back room to record the results. He comes out with a strange glint in his eyes. "Ahaha! Well, this was an interesting turnout! I received a large number of cards, some left blank, some filled out! Well, at any rate, I suspect you are all waiting for the results..." He pins the results of the voting (see below) on the front of the table. He then proceeds to flip over two cards and steps back as the players crowd the table to check the results. "It seems we have a favorite here! Mr. WhatsisFire gained 4 votes, enough to gain him the lead! Ah, but that's not all! Everyone who voted (aside from him of course, of course...) voted for him! And someone even put in a plethora of vote ballots!" He pulls one out and flips it, showing the engraved name: Darconis. "Now, these were in fact all the votes that were given to Mr. Darconis! And they're blank! Well, with no vote ballots left, Mr. Darconis has obviously quit the game and left, taking his 3 point penalty and leaving his cards for others to nab! Ahahaha! Isn't he so nice? I'm sure there's some deep meaning behind this move... Yes, some meaning... Ahaha! Well, at any rate, the next round begins now! Enjoy!" Behind the mask, you can tell that Alydar wears a malicious grin...
Votes ShadowFire: 4 votes Kokuryu: 1 vote 10k: 0 votes
Darconis: 0 votes Iain7: 0 votes NastyMan: 0 votes *Darconis did not send in a vote*
ShadowFire wins the vote and decides to flip over cards 1 and 36. They do indeed match, each with the name Kokuryu. With the first matched pair of the game, ShadowFire wins one point! The two cards have been flipped over in the first post and will remain flipped over for the remainder of the game.
Also of note: Darconis has expressed a wish to withdraw from the game. As such, he will provide no vote and may not be voted for. He will be unable to flip cards or win any more poker chips from this game. Thus, he will be left with a 3 poker chip penalty (for his previous inactivity) at the conclusion of the game. His cards are still present on the game board, and players will still get points for matching his cards and eventually eliminating him. If the only cards left on the field are his and one other player's, that other player is considered the winner and matches all remaining pairs, gaining the points for said pairs.
You have 48 hours to make a decision on who should be the next flipper. Remember to include which two cards you would like to flip over in the event that you win the flipper position. Also, ShadowFire has a one vote penalty, as he has gone for one turn.
The second voting phase ends at 11:21 pm GMT on Friday, April 20th. If you are missing either of your two pieces of information, you will be unable to win the vote, regardless of your vote score. Also, this will be your last 48 hour voting phase. Please use your time wisely, and remember that following rounds will only allow 24 hours of consideration time. Good luck!

Those who haven't sent anything, you have 12 hours left! Make sure to send everything in by the deadline! Also, I will almost definitely be late in putting out results, but the deadline still stands. Any votes sent in after 11:21 pm GMT will not be counted.

Voting Phase 2As the buzzer rings again, Alydar retreats to the back round and returns with a piece of paper. "We have another winner, yet again with an overwhelming win! Mr. Kokuryu, your cards shall be flipped!" He walks around the table, drags Kokuryu aside and listens intently as the numbers are whispered to him. "Aha! Here it is, the deciding factor for this round..." He flips two cards. "They match! Kokuryu indeed wins a point! Congratulations! You are now tied in first place, but this game has a long way to go..." He chuckles into his mask and watches as the crowd gathers around the table to see the new layout. The ballot box is once again emptied, and the next voting phase begins... VotesKokuryu: 4 votes 10k: 1 vote Iain7: 0 votes NastyMan: 0 votes ShadowFire: -1 votes Kokuryu wins the vote and decides to flip over cards 15 and 22. They do indeed match, each with the name Darconis, so Kokuryu wins one point. The two cards have been flipped and will remain face up for the entire game. You have only 24 hours to make a decision on who should be the next flipper. Remember to include which two cards you would like to flip over in the event that you win the flipper position. Also, Kokuryu now has a one vote penalty, as he has gone for one turn. The third voting phase ends at 2:02 am GMT on Sunday, April 22nd. If you are missing either of your two pieces of information, you will be unable to win the vote, regardless of your vote score. Take care as you have only 24 hours of deliberation. If you would like to put a placeholder vote, so you don't get declared inactive, you may do so. Votes may continue to be changed until the end of the round, but make sure the votes you wish to have counted at the end of the round are the last votes you send in! If 24 hours is too little time, feel free to plan ahead with whatever alliance you may have and discuss the possible results and whatnot. And if you know for sure that you will be unable to log on for a period of time, you may give me default decisions for that period of time, but please don't abuse this. Best of luck with your planning!

12 hours left... Some people have not sent in their decisions yet... While you still have a lot of time left, it would be in your best interest to get them in ASAP...

Voting Phase 3Once again, Alydar takes the ballot box to the back room to once again tally up the votes. He comes out with a list and exclaims, "Well, well, well! I see there's not as much harmony now... You see, there's been a distribution of votes, and the turnout is close! But that NastyMan there pulled ahead with a slim lead... Now, which two cards would you like to flip over?" With a slight hesitation, NastyMan reveals his two cards, and Alydar flips them with a flourish! "Ahahaha! Yet another amazing guess! Mr. Man there has successfully matched a pair and brought himself into the rankings of first place! Congratulations!" He presses a button and updates the display screen above with the current standings and board. "Let's continue! Who's up for round 4?" VotesNastyMan: 2 votes Iain7: 1 vote 10k: 0 votes Kokuryu: 0 votes ShadowFire: -1 votes*ShadowFire did not send in a vote* NastyMan wins the vote and decides to flip over cards 4 and 33. They do indeed match, each reading the name 10k, so NastyMan wins one point. The two cards have been flipped and will remain face up for the entire game. You have 24 hours to make a decision on who should be the next flipper. Remember to include which two cards you would like to flip over in the event that you win the flipper position. Also, NastyMan now has a one vote penalty, as he has gone for one turn. The fourth voting phase ends at 2:02 am GMT on Monday, April 23rd.

Yes, I'm late in my 12 hour warning (overslept and whatnot). So, here's your 9 and a half hour warning! W00t! For those who haven't sent in your decisions, you have until 2:02 am GMT to do so! Make sure they're in by then!

Voting Phase 4The buzzer rings yet again, and Alydar opens a hatch on the ballot box, organizing the votes inside the box. After a few minutes of deliberation, he closes the box, takes out a pad of paper, scribbles something on it, and puts it on top of the other vote counts for the previous rounds. "The winner this round is 10k! By a wide margin yet again! Congratulations! Now, which cards do you want to flip over?" With no hesitation whatsoever, 10k gives Alydar two numbers. "Well then, let's flip them over and see if we get a match!" He does so, and... he appears slightly disappointed. "Oh... we don't." Enthusiastic once again, "Well, with our first non-match of the game, 10k falls behind! I guess we can't all be lucky! Ahahahaha!" Alydar chuckles to himself as he once again puts out the ballot box. Votes10k: 3 votes Iain7: 0 votes Kokuryu: 0 votes NastyMan: -1 votesShadowFire: -1 votes *NastyMan did not send in a vote* 10k wins the vote and decides to flip over cards 14 and 16. This time, the flipped cards do not match, so 10k wins no points. The two cards have been flipped over in the first post and will be flipped back over at the conclusion of the next voting phase. You have 24 hours to make a decision on who should be the next flipper. Remember to include which two cards you would like to flip over in the event that you win the flipper position. Also, 10k now has a one vote penalty, as he has gone for one turn. The fifth voting phase ends at 2:02 am GMT on Tuesday, April 24th.

Hey look! A 15-hour-plus-some-change warning! Where, you say? Why, here! Yeah, I'm logging off about now, and I can't say when I'll be back on to warn you again. All I can say is that it will definitely be after the 12 hour warning, and possibly after the 6 hour warning as well. So, see y'all later, and send in your votes!

So, yeah. I'm around for the 6 hour warning. Here it is: If you don't have your information in by the end of the round, you will be unable to win the vote. That's it, short and simple.

Voting Phase 5A buzzer, a bell, a box, the back, the ballots are read and counted. A mix of votes, a tie of sorts, a winner above others surmounted. To tie, in truth, is truly hard, for twice must they agree. And so it falls to who has gone less, for he the winner will be. Now he, Iain7, approached by Alydar, reveals the cards to be flipped. And with said flip, two cards are matched, and a point is firmly gripped. Two cards less for ShadowFire, players run ever lower on time. But let us continue, further on, past this update told in rhyme. VotesIain7: 1 vote Kokuryu: 1 vote NastyMan: 0 votes10k: -1 votes ShadowFire: -1 votes *NastyMan did not send in a vote* Iain7 wins the vote and decides to flip over cards 10 and 27. They do indeed match, each with the name ShadowFire, so Iain7 wins one point. The two cards have been flipped over in the first post and will remain flipped over for the rest of the game. In addition, the two cards revealed in the last round have been flipped back over. You have 24 hours to make a decision on who should be the next flipper. Remember to include which two cards you would like to flip over in the event that you win the flipper position. Also, Iain7 now has a one vote penalty, as he has gone for one turn. Actually, everyone has a one vote penalty, so you're back to square one. Everyone has even footing, but three players are down one pair! With 14 pairs remaining, who will be the first to lose, and who will be the last one standing? The sixth voting phase ends at 2:02 am GMT on Wednesday, April 25th.
