Sorry, my meaning wasn't clear. I have actions from everyone, but I'm not announcing them. The government could be furious, annoyed or happy, and you'll find out which... tomorrow!

I guess I would like to add my own clarification to one of the rules, in case we end up in Accusation...I don't want to be accused of changing my own rules mid-phase when it really was supposed to be a certain way. We never got to do this in the Rehearsal Round, so I'll put it up here for reference. The Accusation Phase's accusation reports are meant to be public. So if we have 4 Players A-D, and only A made accusations (against B for x yen and D for y yen), the report ought to look like this: Player A's Accusations vs. B (Accusation successful) vs. D (Accusation failed) Players B, C, and D made no accusations. EDIT: Of course, the Dealer has to send PMs notifying the players of his/her change in the personal account balance, Player A as an example again: Player A, these are are the results of this Round: Collections: -W yen taxes Accusations: vs. B (Accusation successful): +X yen vs. D (Accusation failed) -Y Yen Your account balance is now Z Yen. I hate interrupting like this, but sometimes what is written does not always reflect the original meaning (right, Nearco? .

The tax collecter goes through his mailbox and finds a cheque. He knows he was supposed to collect 30M, however the cheque comes attached with a letter explaining that KomatsuTatsuya seems to have fled the country. That's OK, he still should receive 25M, so all will be good. Right?
He glares furiously at the cheque, which is only for 20M. Now, he wants answers! The accusation phase will now begin, in which you have 48 hours to inform the government of the lousy snob who thought s/he was too good to pay taxes (I'm supposed to give an extra 6 hours between phases, but this creates a stupid situation of my posts having to be done at weird times. I think 48 hours is enough time. And I'm 6 hours late on this one.

I love the way you embellished the results.

If you're lucky, Nearco will still consider you a player and not an inactive.
I think it could be arranged where you're considered to have "started" in time for Round 2 and you're given an account of 110m yen, but that's Nearco's decision.

Komatsu. I will consider you a player, and I will treat it as though you had paid 5M. You now have 110M.
However. I will not allow you to take part in this rounds Accusation Phase.
This means that the tax collecter collected 25M but was expecting 30M, so the accusation phase is still in place.
In future, inactivity during the collection phase will mean that you pay 5M, this will be announced, and you will be unable to take place in the accusation phase. Inactivity during any accusation round will result in you making no accusations. This creates a minimal impact on the game without kicking inactives out. Furthermore, inactivity during 2 or more collection phases makes it so that you cannot become the final winner.

Results ought to be coming in shortly. I wonder how everything will turn out.

The report comes back, and the government has gained the intel they need. Nastyman has accused the following players: Perlamonta (Accusation failed) 10k (Accusation successful) Darconis (Accusation failed)
You now have 48 hours for the next collection phase. This will be round 2. Good luck!

The government official receives the next letter. It appears that noone has fled town, so he expects 30M this time. Of course, since the accusations resulted in determining who it was last time, surely he would receive all 30M this time.
Upon opening the letter, he finds a mere 20M! Outrageous! Clearly, your punishments weren't enough last time, so let's see if we can make up for it this time.

The government official gets a report. Shadowfire has accused Perlamonta and 10k. The official calls for an investigation and notes that 10k did not have any money transfers at the time of the tax collection... as if he hadn't paid at all. Perlamonta is, of course, innocent.
Shadowfire accuses Perlamonta - Unsuccessful Shadowfire accuses 10k - Successful

Sorry for the delays. Easter break and all that.
The government official opens his pouch, knowing that this time, he will surely get his 30M. He empties out the pouch and out falls 5M... another 5M... another 5M... another 5M... He shakes the bag some more, but nothing else falls out. Furiously, he contacts the collector, and demands an explanation.
Only 20M was received, so we enter our final accusation round. Enjoy!
