I'm looking for players and a dealer for a rehearsal of a three-player variant of the Targeting Game I presented earlier.
The game is for three players, but they play three 1v1 games in a similar fashion to the Russian Roulette that just finished. The rules for each 1v1 game are as follows:
The game goes for one round (as this is a rehearsal). Each round has a setup phase and four targeting phases. In the setup phase both players choose a number between 1 and 100 (later called the target). If the targets chosen by both players match, they choose again, and neither can choose the same target. If someone doesn't choose a target, they get assigned one at random and told what it is. Then in the target phases the players need to negotiate and choose a number (later called shot). Both send their shots to the dealer, and if the shots match, the player whose target is closer to the shot wins $5 from the other. If the shots don't match, both players lose $3 to the LGT. If one of the players is inactive, their shot is automatically the same as the other player's. If both are inactive, the shots are considered to differ.
Players start with $100, and the goal is to have the most money in the end. Each phase is 48 hours, but ends at 24 hours if both players have finalized their decision. After each targeting phase, the shots of both players are revealed, but not whose target is closer. Everyone's money is revealed at the end of each round.
Dealer: undecided In case nobody wants, the game could run without a dealer (using an online md5 hasher), but I think we'd better have one.
Players: Freih 10k

I hope you don't mind if it's just 1v1, since it appears we have no need of a third player.
Cyrus, get in here and deal plz. No way am I gonna go use some hasher.
Edit: Based on how few people we have at the moment, do you want to just run an endurance game where the first to hit zero loses?

Well, you were the one who suggested round-robbin.
One question, though: If it's the first who hits zero loses, what's to prevent the first person who gets ahead from never cooperating anymore? Perhaps in case of mismatch, then, we should lose nothing (that way it gets neither player closer to victory).
And, of course, the starting money shouldn't be 100, more like 30?

And it's not like we got a bunch of people on hand to play this.
I'm fine with the modifications.

Based on how long this looks like it could go (48 hour rounds add up fast), and the fact that I'm leaving for college soon and might not be able to update regularly for a bit, I'd rather not take this on. You might have to use an online hasher if you want to play this soon. The alternative is to wait and hope Alydar is available, or wait for me to settle in.

I'm at the beach so have no time, but I can pick this up once I return! I'd have seen this earlier, but I don't have much internet time...
If you need a third person, though, it could be Cyrus? Maybe?

And if not, I guess Freih and I could begin fighting.

Yes... Ot doesn't seem Shagura has shown any interest in the casino after the end of the russian roulette., and Cyrus obviously hasn't signed up, so I think it will be 2p. We'll skip the rehearsal, start with $30, remove the penalty for shots not matching and make the end of the game somebody's reaching 0 and not a fixed number of rounds

To switch it up, I'll be using this account to run the game! When the two of you are ready, PM me (admin) your targets, and I can start! Should we run the game in this thread or make a new one? I'm fine with either.
To make sure I understand the rules, I'm writing them in my own words. Correct me where I'm wrong.
Each round, there is a Setup Phase. In this, both players send in a number between 1 and 100, inclusive. These are their "targets." If the numbers match, the round is repeated until the numbers do not match. The Setup Phase lasts 48 hours, or until both players have finalized their decisions, whichever occurs first. I will send out a reminder at 24 hours if I don't have your decision.
After the Setup Phase, there are four Targeting Phases. In these, both players send in a number between 1 and 100, inclusive. If the numbers match, the player whose target is closer to the number wins. If they're equidistant, nothing happens. If the numbers don't match, nothing happens. Either way, both numbers are revealed, but the player whose target is closer to the number(s) is not revealed. Again, these phases last 48 hours, or until both players have finalized their decisions, whichever occurs first. Again, I will send out a reminder at 24 hours if I don't have your decision. After four Targeting Phases, a new round begins, and players choose new targets. Money and targets are revealed at the end of each round, before the next Setup Phase.
Both players start off with $30. The winning player wins $5 from the opponent. The game ends when a player reaches $0 (and the other player has $60). In other words, the game ends when one player has won 6 more Targeting Phases than the other.
Since we only have two players, we probably don't have to worry about inactivity. Try to finalize to speed things up. If you're going to be gone, try to warn us in advance. If someone disappears, we'll pause the game... This looks like a long game, so I hope it's not delayed even longer...
Round 1 begins now, and its Setup Phase ends whenever I get both of your targets. I'll send out a reminder in about 24 hours and every 24 hours past that that I still don't have your targets. Good luck!

To clarify, at the end of each round, the targets are revealed and the money - updated, but not in the middle. Also, it seems we have forgotten to specify what happens in the shots match and are the same distance away from both targets; but, for simplicity, nothing should happen in that case.

I've edited to reflect these fixes.

Round 1, Setup Phase
An attendant walks in and hands the two of you a piece of paper and a pen. After some time, you each decide on a number and give the paper back to the attendant. The attendant nods to the two of you and brings you to a table with two screens built into it. On each of them, there is a place to enter your name. You each step up to one and do so.
Following that, the attendant presses a button, and a screen comes down with a large countdown clock on it. Both of your screens change to a number input screen, and the countdown begins... You may now send in your decisions...
The round begins now and ends at 6:32 pm GMT on Thursday, August 15th.
I will be auto-finalizing your decisions to speed up what could otherwise be a long game. If you don't want your decision finalized, tell me in your PM, and the round will end at the time above. You can always change your decision until I post results or the deadline is met.

24 hour warning... a half hour late. Send in your decisions!

Round 1, Targeting Phase 1As the countdown completes, you each press your submit buttons and wait. Suddenly, the screens change, and two red numbers appear on each! On Freih's half and under his name, is the number "15." On 10k's half and under his name, is the number "18." The attendant speaks. "Your numbers do not match. Your account balances don't change. The second targeting phase begins. If your numbers match, the player whose target is closer will profit." With that, the big screen returns to a countdown, and your screens return to the input screens. The round begins now and ends at 6:31 pm GMT on Saturday, August 17th.
I'd be actually on time, but I have something to do now, and it's either a minute early or an hour later. I suspect you weren't planning on any last-minute changes.
