Unfortunately for you two, it seems that one or more of your numbers has been selected by the other player! You have 24 hours to submit another set of numbers in the hope you actually manage to load the gun properly. If you have sent me back up numbers in advance, those will be defaulted to if I don't hear from you in the next 24 hours. However, a confirmation would be nice.
Also, it seems that Reynard the Fox has forgotten to select a starting player! As such, he pays both of you $100, and the starting player is randomized. The starting player will be revealed once you manage to load the gun properly.
Round 1 Totals: Alydar - $1,100 Freih - $900

The starting player should be revealed to Reynard now, if I understand correctly how the game should work (although 10k didn't mention that in the rules thread). So, 10k, clarify this.

As far as I can tell, it's only the starting chamber that's revealed to the out player if randomized, but the randomized starting player would be revealed at game start, as that's when it's ultimately relevant. However, dealer/writer clarification would be nice.

You beat me to it, Alydar. Yes, there is no specification that starting player is messaged to the out-player. As such, I will only reveal the starting player once the game starts. Since the game is open and all players can see all games, this alerts the out-player at the same time as the remaining players.

Well, it seems that you two think a bit too much alike.... or you just have rotten luck! One copy paste later....

Alydar, Alydar, do you keep peeking on my chambers and intentionally delaying the game?
How about we send 4 sets of numbers now. Then first Cyrus will compare the first sets of numbers. If they load the gun properly, then this is it. If not, he would compare the second sets, and see if it will load the gun properly, etc. with 3rd and 4th. What do you think, Alydar? If we're both OK with this, I thing we could speed the setup up.

That is entirely reasonable. You would both simply be sending in more 'back-up' sets and forfeiting your right to change any of them at the deadline for the first set. Assuming Alydar is agreeable, I condone this method; let's get this game going, already!

It's not like I'm getting any information from the other... oh, wait. Anyway, I'm okay with that, but with either of two modifications: either change it to 2 sets of numbers at a time or change it to 48 hours, with finalization taking effect after 24 hours (so it can still take only 24 hours if we're both okay with it). The thing is, I'm debating changing my strategy, and if so, I'll need to consider when and how. Going one or two at a time is simpler than four, especially if we only have 24 hours to consider. Are you okay with one of those changes? I've said too much as is. Oh, and hi, Freih....or just implement a finalization method, if you wish. But some of us may not be as ready as others to start. I'm a busy, busy, man.

As I stated above, I'm alright with either, since it is just a speeding up of the normal processes of the game. That being said, whatever method you two decide to do is up to you two - just please explain it here. If you can't decide on something together, we will continue with the same method we have now.

48 hours, with finalization taking effect after 24 hours (so it can still take only 24 hours if we're both okay with it). Let's go with that. I'm sending Cyrus four sets now, immediately finalizing those. Feel free to take your time.

It has been 48 hours since Freih's post, so... time's up, I guess! It seems that you respond well to pressure - the gun is now loaded! And fate decrees that Alydar has the honor of first shot. So Aly.... Pass or Shoot?

So Aly.... Pass or Shoot? Well, for one thing, it would be very nice to know which of our sets made it through without conflict. Considering you've said nothing of failure, I would like to assume that the first set made it through safely. However... I don't want to assume wrong.

Ah, yes. I apologize for not stating that overtly; it slipped my mind. Yes, both of your first sets were successful.

Well, then. I choose to pass. I was going to pass anyway and add more to the pot, but it was worth the question anyway. And with my luck, the first chamber will be a shot in both games... stupid consistent luck.Go on, Freih! Choose your poison! ...or bullet. Not blank. Bullet. Them's what we're using, no?
