While playing cards in a corner with each other, a Dealer approaches you. "Ah, good. You are practicing. Well, the Card Auction is ready to begin." You turn to each other, and one of you remembers. "Yeah. We signed up for that. Geez, that was ages ago." The dealer motions for you to follow him, and you grab your cards and proceed. You enter a large room with a giant monitor in front of you. There are four tables, with a compartment in front of them. You are each led to a table, and notice that there is also a compartment in the front. The compartments contain 250 golden coins, as well as a pen and a stack of envelopes. The dealer states "The golden coins are your currency for this game. At the end of the game, you will receive a poker chip for every 20 golden coins you still have. Furthermore, for those of you who have forgotten, the rules are laid out on the table." You realize that the rules are spelt out for you, and wonder how you missed it earlier.. Once the players are clearly up to date with the rules, he draws your attention to a giant monitor, and it displays 6 cards. The dealer then reminds you. "If you wish to bid on any of these cards, put the number of coins you wish to bid into an envelope, and put it into the compartment at the front of your table. You are free to talk to each other, in private or in public." You have 24 hours to PM me your bids.

The bids are in! Nearco counts up the coins quickly, and a set of 6 oversized cards appear on him. He returns all your coins, except that he takes 30 coins from MarkQuestion, and staples a giant King of Clubs on the wall behind him. Then, he takes away 80 coins from Morte and staples enlarged versions of the 8 of Diamonds (30 coins), the 8 of Hearts (30 coins), the 7 of Hearts (10 coins), the 5 of clubs (5 coins) and the 4 of clubs (5 coins) to the wall behind him. Nakamura Kaori and 10k both have 250 coins remaining, MarkQuestion has 220 coins remaining and Morte has 170 coins remaining. MarkQuestion has the King of Clubs (currently, 1 point). Morte has the 8 of Hearts, the 8 of Diamonds, the 7 of Hearts, the 5 of Clubs and the 4 of Clubs (currently, 7 points). The next auction contains the following cards. *Fixed linksI was reprimanded for giving you guys 24 hours, so you have 48 hours to PM me your next bids.

*Ahem* If I could have everyone's attention?
I plan to bid heavily on those J-K-10 diamonds over there. You won't wrest them from me for cheap. I would like to discourage everyone from trying to get those cards. The others, you can deal with them however you want.

The bids are in. Nearco comes along and collects some coins here and there, and then grabs his giant cards again. Staple-gun in hand, he takes the 6 of Hearts (26 coins) and the 4 of Diamonds (21 coins) over to Morte's wall and staples them up. Then, he takes the remaining 4 cards (21 coins each) and staples them to 10k's wall.
Hey, he did warn you about 3 of them! Also, just a note in advance, you may not bid more than you have, if you do, your entire bid will be considered void. (Noone's done this yet, but you guys are churning through coins faster than I expected.)
MarkQuestion has the King of Clubs (currently, 1 point). Morte has the 8 of Hearts, the 8 of Diamonds, the 7 of Hearts, the 6 of Hearts, the 5 of Clubs, the 4 of Clubs and the 4 of Diamonds.(currently, 21 points). 10k has the King of Diamonds, the Jack of Diamonds, rhe 10 of Diamonds the 6 of Spades. (4 points)
Nakamura Kaori still has 250 coins left, MarkQuestion has 220. 10k has 166 and Morte is down to 123. Including the points from coins, Nakamura and MarkQuestion both have 12 points, 10k has 10 and Morte has 27.
For the next auction, there's going to be a slight delay, since I need to check something with Alydar. It shall be up tomorrow, even if Alydar does it himself.
However, please note that, during all remaining rounds, you may select cards that you have acquired to be put up for auction again. If you do so, you will gain the coins from it.

The cards for this round are as follows: The round starts now and ends in 48 hours or so. Also, I believe 10k also has 12 points, not 10 (160 -> 8 points + 4 = 12). Unless I'm wrong, that is. And yes, remember that cards may now be offered up for auction in the following round!

Sorry but my bids were not taken into account?

Uh. They were, but only the most recent PM was. Sorry about that.
In future, if you wish to update your bids, please include all bids in the new PM, as I will typically find the most recent PM from each person that contains bids.
Nearco quickly rushes over to 10k, yoinks the King of Diamonds off his wall and gives him back his coins. He then pops over to MarkQuestion takes 90 of his coins, and puts the King on his wall.
MarkQuestion has the King of Clubs and the King of Diamonds. (currently, 4 points). Morte has the 8 of Hearts, the 8 of Diamonds, the 7 of Hearts, the 6 of Hearts, the 5 of Clubs, the 4 of Clubs and the 4 of Diamonds.(currently, 21 points). 10k has the Jack of Diamonds, rhe 10 of Diamonds the 6 of Spades. (3 points)
Nakamura Kaori still has 250 coins left, MarkQuestion has 130. 10k has 187 and Morte is down to 123. Including the points from coins, Nakamura Kaori and 10k both have 12 points, MarkQuestion has 10 points and Morte has 27.

Actually, results are delayed again. There appears to be an error on my part.

90 coins!? I'm...going to definitely bid hard on the next King then. I'll just bid 66 coins on the next 2 kings. Your 4 (or 5?)-of-a-kind isn't happening.

Please hold discussion for now until we get all the kinks worked out. There was a misunderstanding among dealers related to rules, particularly in a way that would largely affect this round. It will hopefully be sorted out soon, but until then, please hold tight and wait. with dread...

OK. In addition to MarkQuestion's bid, I also missed some of Morte's. And this drastically changes things.
First off, because of this screw-up, we will be publicly announcing the joker. Morte has the Red Joker, the 10 of diamonds. He may, at any point in the game, tell me to ignore all bids on a card other than his own bid. This can be used on any round.
Now, morte bid 31 coins on the 10 and Jack of diamonds, so 10k's wall looks significantly emptier now. Although his coin collection got a lot bigger.
MarkQuestion has the King of Diamonds and the King of Clubs (currently, 4 point). Morte has the Jack of Diamonds, the 10 of Diamonds, 8 of Hearts, the 8 of Diamonds, the 7 of Hearts, the 6 of Hearts, the 5 of Clubs, the 4 of Clubs and the 4 of Diamonds.(currently, 23 points). 10k has the 6 of Spades. (1 points)
Nakamura Kaori still has 250 coins left, MarkQuestion has 130. 10k has 229 coins and Morte is down to 61 coins. Including the points from coins, Nakamura Kaori and 10k both have 12 points, MarkQuestion has 10 points and Morte has 26.
The cards mentioned earlier are the next lot still. I will ignore all PMs sent prior to this, and I will only check the most recent set of bids from any given player, so please include all your bids in the one pm, as well as any other game actions. Any player may choose to have cards they own offered for the next round's auction, and Morte may use his Red Joker at any time. You have 48 hours from the time of this post.
If there are any errors in this post, feel free to point them out.

I still think that King will look nice in my collection. I think me bidding 66 coins shall work wonders.
Bet lower if you dare.

Perhaps that 7 9 10 and J with my 6 could do me some good as well. I mean, hey; easy straight coming up for me.
So many good cards, so little cash.

Couple of good cards, and enough cash to spare...
Wondering if you're bluffing, you two! Just in case, I'll chuck 51 on the King.
