Tsking furiously, Alydar walks up to the players clustered around the Slot Machine. "Still nowhere? I had assumed you all were better than this... Well, I guess if you can't handle the conditions, there's nothing we can do. Let's close the game. You did a valiant job, but, ahaha, sadly, you weren't up to the task." He turns and begins to walk away, when suddenly...
A voice from within the crowd, as a brave gambler speaks up: "Hey! Wait up- Hold on a second. We can crack this machine. Just give us a little more time. And anyway, you've given us little help at all! How do we know there's even a solution, that this isn't just a ruse to steal our money! I demand a refund!" The other players wait in silence for Alydar's response.
Alydar turns around and laughs, snapping his fingers, summoning two attendants to throw the foolish player out. "Well, well, well. It appears someone doesn't know the meaning behind this establishment. Well, we try to be fair, don't we? Ahahaha! Yes, I'm sure you all agree, correct? And someone so blatantly disrespectful doesn't belong in this place. Ah, but his points do hold some merit. The rest of you: I believe it's been long enough. A handicap, and this is your last chance. I will give you five hints, so take note of them. They're probably your only chance of winning this game. Ahahaha!"
As one player leaves, the rest gain the hints he asked for. And so, I present them to you!
1. 5 hidden buttons remain, a couple simply hidden waiting to be found and one waiting for asecretly revealed trigger to be met.
2. Hmm... True/False conditions for a yes or no answer? Maybe that's not quite right. How about yes/no conditions for a true or false answer?
3. Everything has an order to it, in some way or another, be it time, action, player, question, count, dealer, posts, etc... So while you may not be able to find the win conditions yet, the attendant questions should be simple enough with the number of questions asked! So why not put everything about the questions into order, hmm? I'm sure there's a discrepancy, pattern, or something somewhere in plain sight, if you can just put them in order!
4. Any hints we give you will only relate to the attendants. We regret to inform you that no hints will be given about the payout conditions.
5. Oh, aren't we nice! We're even putting out a current count of questions answered truthfully/falsely as of now. That should help a lot, right?
As of August 22nd, 2012 at 1:54 pm GMT, these are the current count of questions answered truthfully and falsely:
Truthfully: 17
Falsely: 17
Neither: 5
P.S. There's a reason we gave you 25 free tokens at the beginning (and not just the obvious: to entice you to play). See, this condition is complicated enough that we knew 25 wasn't enough, unless for some reason we had a lot of people, or the players were exceptionally smart. So we fully expect you to run out of those free tokens (unless of course you're one of those hoarders we dislike :. Don't be scared to buy extra tokens. We fully expect it, and the large payout (and even the small payouts, slightly) will compensate for it.
P.P.S. The "brave" gambler in the intro doesn't exist. He's just there for story purposes. Don't read anything into it.
Oh, and as this is a middle point or something, trophies will be updated at this point for Slot Machine. So all participants should have Novice Gambler, and anyone who may have gotten other trophies (e.g. To the Left, To the Right, Hide and Seek, Deductive Reasoning, It's Elementary) will get those as well. I'll take care of those soon.
