The votes are as follows: LEFT : N/A (0) RIGHT : N/A (0) UP : Cyrus (1) DOWN : 10k; Freih (2) Inactivity : N/A (0) The Silver Plaything moves up then down twice, bumping once going down... Freih and 10k lose a coin, and Cyrus gains one! We're down to two, we're at the end, and the winners are clear! The final standings are as follows: 10k : 2 coins Cyrus : 3 coins
Freih : 0 coins
Sylvie : 0 coins
Yune : 0 coins With that, Cyrus takes first place with three coins, and 10k is right behind with 2. If the Casino were still open, they'd each receive those amounts in Poker Chips. Congratulations all! Thus concludes Silver Plaything, Mark II! ...thoughts? (I was completely ready... 4 minutes until the deadline. Then I got distracted for a full 45 minutes or so... stupid distractable mind!)

It seems I just realized I hadn't read the rules carefully . The whole game I was playing thinking that there could only be one winner, and not two, and thus for the last round I was trying to make 10k and Cyrus tied - thus I wanted to make 10k go right, and since right and down were indistinguishable, I tried to make it so that he doesn't go up or left (and hope that from the down or right, he'd choose the right). I guess I would have played the last two rounds differently if I had known the proper rules... By the way, wouldn't both winners have won 5 chips if this were a real game? At least that's what the first post says.

Good game, everyone! I'm looking forward to see what people choose to play next. My vote is obviously for my game, but I'm up for pretty much whatever!

By the way, wouldn't both winners have won 5 chips if this were a real game? At least that's what the first post says. I hadn't realized that wasn't changed in the first post. Komatsu Tatsuya wrote the first post, and I haven't really looked at it thoroughly enough to make sure it was completely correct. I was using the same rules as the previous game (give or take, since the getting rid of a column rule wasn't implemented until the second round there, and the initial no-bump penalty hit after three rounds there), and partway through Barbaro updated his rules with an announcement at the end of a round that the winner(s) would gain as many Poker Chips as they had coins left at the end of the game. That's why Komatsu Tatsuya walked away with only 3 Poker Chips instead of the 5 he would have otherwise. As for which one is better, in my opinion the variable prize is better than a flat one, as it reflects the skill of the players. Also, the LGT is giving the money out as a flatout prize. We're losing here... It's difficult to get people to the end with 5+ coins, especially with the no-bump penalties, so it's normally in the LGT's interest to give the variable prize.

Looks like it's time for 1v1 games again. You guys ought to play Dice Table or something.

Or...maybe I'll whip up a 3p game for the three of us instead, since you guys aren't signing up for anything else. I'm not sure how elegantly things will work out with 3 guys in the games you guys proposed. And I haven't run my simulations through your games yet, so I'm holding off on signing up at the moment.
Give Alydar and I a day or two to see if the game I'm proposing in the confessional checks out.

Both Anonymous and Band of Thieves can be played with three players if necessary. I'm up for playing Anonymous. I'm not interested in playing Band of Thieves, but I can deal it and have you, Cyrus, Moritaka and Alydar play it.

Actually, I think that I'm done here for the moment. I've enjoyed the time I've spent here, and I thank the remaining four of you for all you've done. I've had my fill of these games for now, but if people want to play Band of Thieves, I'd be happy to deal it. Anyway, farewell for now, and good luck in all future Liar Games!

So. What do you guys want to do? There are three games: Cyrus', Freih's, and 10k's (in-progress). Cyrus seems to be leaving, but he's willing to stick around to deal his game if need be. Other than you three, Moritaka and Iain7 check in from time to time. So we may have anywhere from 2 to 4 players sticking around for now.
Realistically, 2 players isn't enough for a game, and even if it is, it's boring to have only 2 people. 4 may be enough, but it depends on the game. So we need to decide where we're going with this.
We can play games with the few players we have. We can wait for more people to arrive. Or we can just go our separate ways until I email everyone that the new tournament is starting up. Whatever the case, I'm up for dealing any games, as long as you guys bring me the players and the rules.
How do you all feel?

Well, the Casino is my phylactery, so I'm sort of sticking around. I'm fine with whatever you guys want.

I'm trying to comeup with some sort of bargaining game - that could be interesting for only two players. For example, some scenario where two players need to trick each other while working together.
