THIS GAME IS WAITING FOR THE APPROVAL OF A DEALER.As you can tell from my name, I'm a veteran player. And I see quite a few older generation players are here as well. I would like to propose a game. One that requires a bit of gambling. The purpose of the game is to guess who I am. The prize is 40% of my current poker chips. Here are the conditions: - To play, you must *sign* this thread with a 5 chip commitment.
- You can ask up to 3 questions. Each question costs a BASE of 5 chips, which will grant you 10 words. Each additional word will cost 2 chips. And the query must warrant a yes/no answer. You cannot ask me if I am a certain player (i.e. "Are you [INSERT USERNAME]?"). After I have given you an answer to your question, you and I are required to forward the resulting conversation to a dealer.
- You have 3 guesses. Each guess costs (5 chips) * (your guess #). For example, if it is your second guess, it will cost you 10 poker chips. If you have used up all your guesses, you have lost and can no longer make any guesses.
ALL GUESSES AND QUESTIONS MUST BE ASKED THROUGH PM!
Both old and new players can play. New players, I advise you to re-read older LGT's. The links are provided below. PAST GAMESliar-game.forum-motion.com/ - LGT 1 carouselofliars.proboards.com/index.cgiliargametournament.proboards.com/index.cgi - LGT 2 I wish everyone the best of luck. Until then, it's nice meeting all of you.

I should have 200 poker chips soon. I signed the game; just waiting for a dealer to give me the chips.

Seeing how nobody has solved Slot Machine yet, I'm not sure you're going to get many participants. At any rate, it's nice to meet you too.

Welcome, Veteran. This is an interesting idea. Some questions and pointers:
1) 10 chips as minimum cost per question is too high if you consider that most games have an entrance fee of 25 chips or so. Two questions in this game would cost 30 chips. You're free to ignore my advise, as this is just an opinion. If you get players to agree to the rules and join, then it's all good.
2) It's impossible to truly verify if the players are cheating or not. So the solo rule can't really stay.
3) Questions can't be adressed to you because otherwise Dealers wouldn't know if you're giving the right answers. You're free to come up with whatever solution you wish for this issue. Keep in mind that we Dealers might not know the answers to some of the questions adressed to you.
4) You can cheat in this game by telling anyone you wish to have as a winner the answer. I see no possible solution so same as point 1. If players agree to play knowing that, then fine by me.
5) Can you elaborate on this? " Each question costs a BASE of 5 chips, which will grant you 3 words. Each additional word will cost 2 chips". Players can't ask questions with more than 3 words without paying the extra fee? Is that it?
6) If players can't ask "Are you X?", how do they submit their final answer when they have it? What happens if they get it wrong?

Two questions in this game would cost 30 chips. You're free to ignore my advise, as this is just an opinion. If you get players to agree to the rules and join, then it's all good. Alright, I'll consider lowering the fees.2) It's impossible to truly verify if the players are cheating or not. So the solo rule can't really stay. I'll take that part out as well.3) Questions can't be adressed to you because otherwise Dealers wouldn't know if you're giving the right answers. You're free to come up with whatever solution you wish for this issue. Keep in mind that we Dealers might not know the answers to some of the questions adressed to you. A dealer on the forums already knows my identity, so I'll get him to confirm that all questions (and my answers) will be forwarded to him to prohibit my giving false answers.4) You can cheat in this game by telling anyone you wish to have as a winner the answer. I see no possible solution so same as point 1. If players agree to play knowing that, then fine by me. And I would want to voluntarily give away 80 poker chips? I encourage players who think I would do this to not enter. But the chances of this happening is null and void. 5) Can you elaborate on this? " Each question costs a BASE of 5 chips, which will grant you 3 words. Each additional word will cost 2 chips". Players can't ask questions with more than 3 words without paying the extra fee? Is that it? Yes, that is exactly it. I'll probably increase the word limit to 5 or so. 6) If players can't ask "Are you X?", how do they submit their final answer when they have it? What happens if they get it wrong? They can't use a question to ask me whether or not I'm a certain player -- they must submit it as a guess.

Yes, I know it as well. However, the questions are made by PM, so even if you foward your answers to the moderating dealer, there's no guarantee that you will foward the same answer. Using that PM system, both the players and you should foward the answers to the moderating dealer to verify that they do indeed match.
What happens if they get it wrong?

Lol. Am I that obvious?
And, we can go with your suggestion.
As for the guessing:
You have 3 guesses. Each guess costs (5 chips) * (your guess #). For example, if it is your second guess, it will cost you 10 poker chips.
ALL GUESSES AND QUESTIONS MUST BE ASKED THROUGH PM!
I won't give out a penalty for using up all your guesses. The player will have just lost.

Alright, it works now. Add how will the PM thing work to the main post. You have my yes for this, although you should wait for Alydar to get the final review.

Umm, yeah. I'll get back to you on this. And the other games that have been updated for the Casino. But tomorrow. Sometime. When I actually have time. Hopefully. Life bombards me with stuff at times.
