A Fond Farewell
As the gamblers dwindle down, the dealers begin cleaning up as well. Cobwebs are starting to form, and the cost of upkeep just isn't what it used to be. The funds are going slightly into the red (at least of the funds allocated to this offshoot of the Liar Game Offices), and eventually things will be closed down for good. Until then, the dealers please their remaining customers as they attempt to win money. The Roulette tables at the front gather dust as Forli's replacement attendants watch over them. The Slot Machine gleams in opulence to no one in particular. Alydar rolls dice over at the Dice Tables as he waits for competitors to try their hand at it. The Arcade machines are unplugged by the nearby attendant after the previous game in order to conserve energy. The Pinball machines are turned off and stowed in a back closet. Maybe they'll be brought out later for a dealer's (or player's?) amusement? Nearco packs up his packs of cards at the Card Auction and walks out, bidding goodbye to the other attendants as he turns to more noble pursuits: another tournament, perhaps?
Many gamblers have come and gone, picking up a loan of 200 Poker Chips and returning them as they left. Some walked away with profit: Kestrel takes 2M yen with glee; Komatsu Tatsuya scoffs at that amount and walks off with his 3M yen; Mister Blonde runs off with his 45M yen profit; Nakamura Kaori takes a formidable 35M yen and prances out the door. Some run screaming from their debt, but rest assured they'll pay up. They always do in the end. ShadowFire walks off whistling, hoping no one notices his 22M yen debt; Darconis' 8M yen debt is nothing, and he pays it off before leaving; Kokuryu's 35M yen debt sends him cowering; MarkQuestion questions paying back his 71M yen debt, but he'll see reason in the end; Esterdi's 25M yen debt makes a hefty hole in his wallet.
Still, some lose nothing: NastyMan, Thyme, Perlamonta, ZenSpud, Riku, AdminKame, Joshua Harnet, Veteran. Others never borrowed so have no need to return anything: infernalreaper, Ben Raino, Lopsy, Juxe, xeronovax. One person was kicked out for fraud and other crimes. He'll repay it over the course of his life. And believe me, it will be a long one... But now, only five players remain, and they all deserve a round of applause.
Alydar gathers the remaining players and addresses them. "It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the closing of this fine establishment. You have seen it through its ups and downs, through winners and losers, through the many games it had to offer and the many games you offered it. Ahahaha, but that's over for now, and I must quickly announce the winners and give you your prizes! Without further ado, here they are:
"In first place, we have 10k, walking off with the most money, a whopping 91M yen!
And of course, to go along with that, he has by far the most stars with a full 14! Congratulations!
"In second place, we have Iain7, walking off with a large amount of money as well: 62M yen!He also
happens to have the second-most number of stars with 8. Congratulations to you as well!
"In third place, we have... No, he's gone... Aha! A recently-joining player: Cyrus! He walks off with
the 36M yen profit he gained from his one game here, quite a feat. His 5 stars made it seem easy.
"We also have a newbie with a loss: Moritaka. He joined late and lost the only game he played for 36M
yen, but he's a savior for when he joined the Casino, allowing us to do that final game with 5 players.
"Last but not least, we have Morte. Despite losing more than he's won, he's been a real trooper and
has stayed true with his losses and keeps the Casino going strong. He may have lost 37M yen in total,
but he's our true winner.

"Oh, I have to thank all five of you for allowing this establishment to go on as long as it has. With 10k, Iain7, and Morte sticking through everything, we've been able to run through all of the games. That couldn't have been done without the other two of you, Cyrus and Moritaka, for joining last-second and giving the go-ahead for Directionally Challenged! But there are two more who must be thanked, even though they've disappeared from time to time. Without Nakamura Kaori's and MarkQuestion's help, Card Auction wouldn't have happened either, and we wouldn't have made it to Directionally Challenged. The seven of you are the real winners, and, wouldn't you know it, 7's a lucky number in Casinos! We hope to see all of you back for the next tournament, and we'll keep you updated with news. Bring your friends, bring your enemies, test your limits, and above all, have fun! Good luck! Ahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!"
With that, your money is collected, the final two players with debt have their debt erased (the LGT collected more than enough to cover for those measly sums in the previous tournament, and it's the least they can do for such fine supporters of their cause). Alydar goes off to other things, and some of you may follow to ask for an impartial dealer for a game you propose. As time passes, so does the Casino, and its trials are known only to its participants. Until next time. A new tournament awaits...
As I've said many times before, THANK YOU!!! This couldn't have happened without you guys, and despite not getting as many as we wanted, we got as few as we needed. Some of you stuck through to the end, and some of you joined late to save the day, but all of you were influential over the course of this interim.
There are two tournaments to come, and I'm sure you're all interested in them! However, I'm sure you know it will be some time before they arrive. I'm a little less than halfway through the planning for LGT4 (that may become LGT3, dependent on other dealers). LGT3 may be picked up by other dealers, and once I'm notified, I'll send out an update and a call for players to all of you. If LGT3 isn't picked up, I'll notify you all once LGT4 is ready with the order of the tournaments. Until then, sit back, relax, maybe play some games with friends and start recruiting in preparation.
With the closing of the Casino, you won't be getting money for your Bank Accounts or trophies for your cabinet to increase your stars. However, that's not all that you're here for. You're here for games, if you want to stay.
You may still ask me to run games for you, and I'll run them if I have the time. I'll start a Rehearsal Round for Rigged Cee-lo next Monday (12/17), and the actual game will be run after Christmas in case other people want to sign up. If there are any past games that you'd like me to run for you (games on this site now count as "past games"), present me with the rules and a list of players. This can be by PM with a link and a list or by email. If any players aren't on the Casino forum, have them send applications, and they'll be signed up as Observers. I'll run the game once I've received confirmation from the players.
I'll be around for a little while after the conclusion of Rigged Cee-lo, but as things die down, my presence won't be needed anymore. I may still lurk, but don't rely on it. If I haven't been logged on for a while, either contact me by PM on the forum or by email. If you simply post, especially if it's in your confessionals, I probably won't notice it.
That's that, this forum has officially closed, and now all that's left are the post-closure festivities (and the games that go along with that). Good luck to all of you, I hope to stay in touch, and above all, keep gaming! With that, I bid you all adieu.
P.S. As a last-minute thank you to the seven of you mentioned above (10k, Morte, Iain7, MarkQuestion, Nakamura Kaori, Cyrus, and Moritaka), your usernames have been changed to Gold. Enjoy!
P.P.S. ...and then I realized just how annoying the yellow was on the black and blue. So they're gone. But if it had looked good, it would have stayed!
