3p 24-Shot Russian Roulette
A game for 3 players!
Scenario: It's been a while since the last game took place. You rub your eyes and look through the window of your car, tinted full black as always. What a boring sight. It is much unlike the Casino, a grand building on the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean.
“We’re here,” says your driver. “Um…”
“You chauffeured me here last time. You didn’t forget me already?”
“Well, it's been a while. I wish you luck.”
You chuckle and tell him your name before exiting to outside. Of course, you have no trouble remembering a couple of faces from that last game. Sitting in ornate golden chairs across and chatting with one well-dressed Alydar, you can make out their profiles. The three of them turn their heads to note your arrival before resuming their conversation.
A black suitcase is on a table besides Alydar’s chair; you assume it to be money. But today is supposed to be a friendly encounter, another battle of pride to tide the gamblers over; nothing to worry about.
Right? Right. You take a moment to enjoy the sound of rolling waves, the ambient temperature, the fresh air. Surely this place has to be nature's attempt at recreating Paradise...surely as this estate was pricey.
You walk over and exchange greetings with the two other players and Alydar. It’s almost time to begin, yet nobody else is around except for them. Expecting that the rest of the slackers are going to be late, you open your mouth to enquire from Alydar about the tournament and maybe a chair, but at that moment he claps his hands and drags the suitcase from the table onto his lap.
“Time to begin,” says Alydar.
“Wait...” One of the other players raises an eyebrow. “Just three players?”
“Just three VIPs.” The suitcase clicks open. “Aha.”
You raise an eyebrow as Alydar takes out a small revolver and aims it at his temple. What is he--BANG!
You don’t know whether or not you reacted, but that BANG sure startled the other two players.
“Ahahaha!” He shrugs, but you just know he's grinning under that mask. “Don’t worry! It’s only harmful to your score. I’ve got two more in here. We’re not gambling money today either, so I thought we’d shoot some guns at ourselves. Why don’t we go inside and I’ll explain the game?”
Objective: Survive 1v1 Russian Roulette with the most money against two other players!
Overview
-All players begin with $2000, split into two sets of $1000
-It’s a 3p game, but the game is played as 1v1 round-robin
--For each game, the players in the 1v1 are the in-players and the 1 extra person is the out-player
--All 3 games occur simultaneously, $1000 in play each game, transfers disallowed.
--If you run out of money, you forfeit that game
-Changes in balance are carried out each shot
-Game is divided into 72h Consideration Time and 24h turns thereafter
-Winner is the player with the most money combined from both of their games
Set-up (the first 24h after Consideration Time)
-In-players: please submit the positions for 3 bullets, one per chamber in 1-24…in case of overlap, additional 24h extensions are granted for games with overlapping bullets to try again as needed
--Thus, there are 6 bullets in 6 different chambers
--Inactive players are announced as such, and they pay a $100 fine to the other players. Their bullets are chambers 1, 2, and 3
-Out-player: please submit the starting chamber and the starting player to shoot
--If inactive, out-player pays a $100 fine to the other players and the starting chamber is random…but the out-player will receive a PM as to what was the starting chamber
--If there was an extension for your game due to overlapping bullets, your previous submission for the starting chamber carries over (no inactivity penalty)
Gameplay: pretty much like the manga. Please POST your move AND PM the Dealer; the Dealer will update ASAP. If you want to change your move, make a new post, but DO NOT EDIT. HOWEVER, you cannot change a move once the opponent makes a move or the Dealer makes an update.
-The out-player has no role for the rest of that 1v1
-After one chamber ends, the gun rotates to the next chamber up (23 to 24 to 1, etc.)
-Players have 24h from the Dealer update to make a response
--Inactivity means you Shoot and it's treated as if it was loaded regardless of its status. It is then the next player's turn to shoot. Seriously, you just need to type one word every 24h, you can manage it.
--Players may not begin a new chamber until the Dealer's update
-All games are public
-A game ends once all 6 bullets are fired
In-players, when it is their turn, have one of two options:
-Pass: Pay $2 into the pot and it is the other player's turn to pass or shoot
--That player may pass again but double the previous pass payment
--After 5 consecutive passes, the gun is shot in the air and the LGT takes the pot
----So the rate is: $2, $4, $8, $16, $32
----Totals after each pass: $2, $6, $14, $30, $62 (LGT collects the pot)
--If the player makes the fifth pass, the next chamber begins with the opponent to pass or shoot
-Shoot: Shoot the gun
--If empty: player collects the pot and it is then the opponent’s turn to pass or shoot
--If loaded: opponent collects the pot AND the shooter pays the opponent $100…it is then the opponent’s turn to pass or shoot
